Department Action

The Engineering Department requests Commissioners Courts authorization to enter into a Consulting Services Agreement with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for continued prairie restoration and maintenance at Parkhill Prairie. The County had a previous agreement with TNC between 2013 and 2017 for these services.

We would like to renew this agreement and extend it for five (5) years from 2018 thru 2022 at an annual cost of $5548.95.

If approved, we are requesting authorization to utilize Open Space Bond Funds in the amount of $27,744.75 for the five (5) year period.

The Scope of Services being provided by TNC and a proposed Budget for each year is shown on Exhibit “A” of the attached agreement. An aerial image showing the portion of park property where these services would be provided is also attached for reference.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of the Consulting Services Agreement with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for continued prairie restoration and maintenance at Parkhill Prairie and further allow Purchasing Agent to execute the same. Agreement term will be for five (5) years from FY 2018 thru FY 2022 at an annual cost of $5548.95. If approved, we are requesting authorization to utilize Open Space Bond Funds in the amount of $27,744.75 for the five (5) year period.
