This is to request approval to apply for a grant request through the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG). This will be for October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. The amount we are requesting is $77,750 with no County match.

Application through the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $77,750 to purchase (15) head / helmet mount monocular night vision units, (15) infrared laser/illuminators, and training for 25 Sheriff’s Office patrol officers. Federal grant with no county match required. In FY 2017, (17) Night Vision Helmets were approved in the Sheriff's Office budget in the amount of $62,900.

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Federal grant funds in the amount of $77,750 with no county match required. Grant period is from 10/1/18 through 9/30/19. Grant is to purchase Fifteen (15) head / helmet mount monocular night vision units, fifteen (15) infrared laser/illuminators, and training for 25 Sheriff’s Office patrol officers.
