Department Action

This is a request to apply for FY 2019 General Victim Assistance grant. The grant would be used to fund salary and benefits for a full time Collin County Sheriff's Office Crime Victim Advocate to provide victim advocacy services for violent crime victims and their families. This grant would run from October 1, 2018 through September 20, 2020. This grant would essentially extend the current FY17 grant by two years.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioner's Court consideration and any action to apply for the General Victim Assistance grant with the Office of the Governor Criminal Justice Division for the period October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019 and authorize County Judge to execute resolution. sh

Budget Department Action

FY 2019 - 20 application for the General Victims Assistance Grant in the amount of $126,000 with a Collin County in-kind match in the amount of $31,500 for total of $157,500. Federal Grant to be used to fund the salary and benefits for a full time position for two years. The current FY 2018 salary and benefits for this position is $62,342. Future salary for this position is unknown at this time.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application reviewed by grant review committee as per attached. Federal grant funds in the amount of $126,000 with a required match of $31,500, which can be in kind. Grant period is from 10/1/18 through 9/30/20. Fund salary and benefits for full time Collin County Sheriff's Office Crime Victim Advocate to provide victim advocacy services for violent crime victims and their families - 2 year grant period.
