Department Action

The Juvenile Probation Department is seeking to apply for a grant from the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division to help fund operations of the 417^th Juvenile Drug Court, the SOAR Program. These funds will be used to fund substance abuse treatment services for program participants. The grant request is for $50,000.00 with no county match.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval to apply for the Specialty Court Program grant with the Office of the Government Criminal Justice Division for the period September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019 and authorize County Judge to execute resolution. sh

Federal Grant in the amount of $50,000 to fund the Juvenile SOAR Program. No county match required. Grant will cover in-patient and out-patient substance abuse treatment services for juvenile SOAR Program participants. Grant period is September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019.

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Federal grant funds in the amount of $50,000 with no county match required. Grant period is from 9/1/18 through 8/31/19. Grant provides in-patient and out-patient substance abuse treatment services for juvenile SOAR Program participants.
