Department Action

I request approval by Commissioners Court to post and advertise the RFQ 2024-242 Forensic Testing of Controlled Substances. The object of the RFQ is to secure a contract with an appropriate lab for the testing of controlled substances. This testing is funded from the current Forensic Evidence Testing Grant.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of specifications for RFQ 2024-242, Forensic Testing of Controlled Substances and advertise for same. GES

Budget Department Action

Current funding for testing is through the FY 2024 Forensic Evidence Testing Grant. The FY 2025 Grant has yet to be awarded. If grant is not approved, local police agencies would be responsible to pay for their own drug testing. The DA will fund using their Investigative/Trial Costs line. General Fund - (0001).

Auditor's Office Action

Current grant funds available in the amount of $174,750 in fund 2580. Current grant period ends on August 31, 2024.
