Attached for approval is the FY 2025 Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) grant acceptance renewal for the one-year grant period 7/1/2024-6/30/2025 in the amount of $162,740.00 of level funding. The County match required for this funding is $16,274.00 and will be met by using existing Collin County staff members’ salary and fringe in addition to Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteer hours.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Health Care Foundation consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) grant in the amount of $162,740 with a required in-kind match of $16,274 and authorize Board President to execute same. The grant period is July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. gz

HR and/or IT Action

Per the attached budget, the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) FY 2025 will fund 2 existing positions and personnel at the percentage of FTE indicated on the budget. Based on this percentage and current salaries, the estimated total for salary and fringe for these 2 personnel is $132,060.90. The amount estimated to budget for these two positions is $130,945. A county match to supplement grant funding for the full cost of these positions may be required. Position numbers attached to this grant are 00300177 and 200243.

Budget Department Action

FY 2025 DSHS Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) grant acceptance renewal in the amount of $162,740 in federal funds with a required in-kind match of $16,274.00 from existing personnel and MRC volunteer hours. The total budget, including projected in-kind match, is $179,014.00. Grant funds to cover one (1) existing grant position 200243 (no increase to headcount) estimated to be funded at 100% and one (1) existing grant position 00300177 (no increase to headcount) estimated to be funded at 5% (95% funded by PHEP Grant) as well as training, travel, supplies and other program costs. No County funds have been budgeted for this grant. Grant period is July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025. (2104)-CRI Grants Fund and (2102)-PHEP Grants Fund.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant award of federal funds in the amount of $162,740 with a required county match of $16,274. County match can be in-kind. Grant period is July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Grant application had been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached.
