Department Action

The Engineering Department requests the approval of Amendment No. 18 to the Engineering Services Agreement (ESA) with Birkhoff Hendricks and Carter (BHC). This amendment will account for the labor and fees for a third party Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) inspection in the amount of $2,500. This amendment also includes ongoing construction administrative services from BHC in the amount of $25,000. The Frontier Pkwy project has had some final construction walk through items that have needed additional time to address and BHC has provided their efforts beyond their contract fee.

The net change is adding $27,500 to the contract to cover the additional administrative services and TDLR inspection, revising the total contract amount to $2,841,209.00.

Action Requested: It is requested that Commissioner’s Court
- approve Collin County’s Amendment No. 18 for the Frontier Parkway Engineering Services Agreement with Birkhoff, Hendricks and Carter, increasing the contract by $27,500.
