Department Action

The Texas Department of Transportation must formally adopt designations for a new road facility. They desire to get concurrence from the local governments of the required designations. Their request is for the County to support the location of the Sp 399 freeway, support the concurrent designation of that part that is concurrent with SH 5 and support the concurrent designation of that portion that is concurrent with FM 546.

A proposed resolution is attached. This resolution is the same one approved by the City Council of McKinney. Staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Recommended Action: It is recommended that the Commissioners Court approve the attached resolution concerning designations for the new Spur 399 freeway and direct that this resolution be sent to the Texas Department of Transportation.
