Department Action

The Information Technology department is requesting that Commissioners Court authorize award of the bid for an IT Asset Management System to the best evaluated offeror. This system will proactively inventory the hardware, and software, of devices on the County computer network for security reporting.

The Information Technology department is requesting to award to the highest rated vendor of all evaluated solutions for this approved FY16 project.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval to award RFP No. 2016-138, IT Asset Management Software Solution, per the attached documents. CW

HR and/or IT Action

After the IT Audit in FY15 and the CIJS (Criminal Information Justice System) Jail Audit we are required to monitor and maintain anything that is or may connect to our network. Currently we don't have tools to perform this task. This software tool will allow our Security Officer and staff to proactively perform this duty for security purpose and to pass future audits. This project is a 3 to 4 month rollout.
