PROJECT SCOPE:
The project consists of procurement and installation of radar vehicle detection equipment for 27 intersections:
1) Dallas Parkway and Frankford Road;
2) Dallas Parkway and Trinity Mills;
3) Dallas Parkway and Haverwood Lane;
4) Frankford Road and Preston Road;
5) Frankford Road and Hillcrest Road;
6) Coit Road and President George Bush Turnpike;
7) Briargrove Lane and Dallas Parkway;
8) Campbell Road and Frankford Road;
9) Genstar Lane /Bentwood Trail and Preston Road;
10) Trinity Mills Road and Voss Road/Westgrove Drive;
11) Addison Road and Trinity Mills Road;
12) Coit Road and McCallum Boulevard;
13) Davenport Road and Frankford Road;
14) Frankford Road and Osage Plaza Parkway;
15) Frankford Road and Preston Ridge Trail;
16) Frankford Road and Stonehollow Way;
17) Hillcrest Road and McCallum Road;

FUNDING:
The City estimates the total cost of design and construction for this project to be $769,500. The county’s not to exceed amount is $384,750. This discretionary funding use was approved on October 20, 2014. The city originally submitted 10 intersections but were able to include 27 intersections for the approved amount. The City has their match available.

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court consider approval of the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Dallas concerning various intersection upgrades - New Discretionary Bond Project # 07-00-61; Collin County participation in the amount of $384,750, and authorization for Judge Keith Self to sign the ILA.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of an Interlocal Agreement between Collin County and the City of Dallas concerning various intersection improvements; further authorize the County Judge to execute same. md

Collin County's participation is a NTE $384,750.00.
