Department Action

PROJECT SCOPE:
The City is currently in the design phase for a 4-lane (ultimate 6-lane) new alignment roadway from Community Avenue to CR 164. Design is almost complete and Construction is anticipated to start in November 2018 and will last approximately 18 months.

FUNDING:
The City estimates the actual cost of the project to be $11,000,000. The City is asking the county to contribute $4,000,000 towards the new project. The City has their match available.

The City is also asking to reallocate left over funds from the following projects to make up this $4,000,000.
$2,366,375 from Project #07-036: FM 543 Connector (Complete),
$350,000 from Project #07-039: FM 1461 from Custer Rd to CR 166/FM1461 (TxDOT is funding this project),
$500,000 from Project #07-041: SH 5 from US 380 to FM 543 (TxDOT is funding this project),
$438,864 from Project #07-45: Lake Forest from Boyd High School to US 380 (COMPLETE).
TOTAL: $4,000,000

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court consider approval of Interlocal Agreement with the City of McKinney concerning the design and construction of Bloomdale Rd from Community Avenue to County Road 164. New Bond Project #07-00-68; Collin County participation $4,000,000 and authorization for Judge Keith Self to sign the ILA.

We will be available to respond to Commissioners Court questions and comments.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of the Interlocal Agreement between Collin County and the City of McKinney concerning the design and construction of Bloomdale Rd from Community Avenue to County Road 164. New Bond Project #07-00-68; further authorize the County Judge to execute same. MD

Collin County's participation is a NTE $4,000,000.

Budgeted funds available for the new City of McKinney Project RI070068 for design and construction of Bloomdale Rd from Community Avenue to County Road 164. Collin County participation is not to exceed $4,000,000 and funding will come from completed City of McKinney projects. Bond Funds (4204,4209,4210,4212,4214).
