Department Action

This is to request approval to apply for a grant request through the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG). The grant period is October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2021. We are requesting $16,857.00. The funds will allow for the purchase of equipment to enhance the effectiveness of Patrol Deputies on a daily basis. There will be no impact of the current budget.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval to apply the 2018 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the Depatment of the Army Corps of Engineers for the period October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2021 and authorize County Judge to execute the Exhibit "A" Interlocal Agreeement between City of Plano, McKinney and Collin County Sheriff's Office for the disbursement of the grant award and Exhibit "B" Memorandum of Understanding between the Collin County Sheriff's Office, The City of McKinney, and The City of Plano, Texas regarding the 2018 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program. sh

Budget Department Action

2018 JAG grant in the amount of $16,857 to purchase rifle racks, cameras, medical supply kits for the patrol vehicles along with other equipment for the underwater search and recovery team. No county match required.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant award has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. The funds will allow for the purchase of equipment to enhance the effectiveness of Patrol Deputies on a daily basis. There will be no impact on the current budget. Federal funds in the amount of $16,857 with no county match required. Grant period is 10/1/17-9/30/21.
