Information
Department Action
The City of McKinney is asking the Commissioners Court for a resolution and letter of support regarding a Texas Historical Commission historic courthouse master plan update grant program. THC is providing up to $50,000 to help fund such plan updates. A new master plan for the historic courthouse in McKinney Square is needed, as the last update was done in 2000. A master plan update is required in order to apply for future THC grant funds to restore the courthouse.

The THC is requiring all funds to flow through the County, so THC grant funds will be received by the County and passed through to the City of McKinney, and matching funds ($5,000) will come from the City of McKinney to the County and paid to THC.
