Department Action

Attached is a request for approval to acquire four Microsoft Surface Pro tablets from Health and Human Services for Women, Infant and Children (WIC). These tablets will serve to provide supplemental food benefits, nutrition education and counseling to enhance good health care at no cost to low-income pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children identified to be at nutritional risk. The WIC services are 100% funded by HHSC.

Purchasing Department Action

Health Care Foundation Board consideration and any action regarding the approval to acquire four (4) Microsoft Surface Pro tablets from South Plains Community Action Association, Inc., further authorize board president to execute certificate of acquisition.

HR and/or IT Action

IT recommends the purchase of software license to run on the tablets for Health Care. The units will connect to the County's network and untilizing County email.

Budget Department Action

Acquisition of four (4) Microsoft Surface Pro tablets from South Plains Community Action Association, Inc., at no cost to the county. County to be reimbursed for four (4) software licenses and replacement of tablets as needed. (2108)-HC Grants WIC Program.

Auditor's Office Action

No action required by the Auditor's Office. Tablets being acquired from South Plains Community Action Association, Inc. at no cost to the county.
