Department Action

The Engineering Department requests Commissioners Courts authorization to enter into an Engineering Services Agreement with Jacobs Engineering for design of the Collin County Outer Loop Service Road from State Highway 289 east to F.M. Highway 2478.

Jacobs (formerly CH2M) previously provided design documents for the CCOL between the Dallas North Tollway and State Highway 289. Additionally, they recently completed schematic plans for the CCOL main lanes and service roads from the Denton/Collin County line east to F.M. Highway 2478.

The estimated construction cost for this 3 mile section is $10,236,416 and Jacobs proposed fee is $861,025.43. Of which, $109,898.86 is for incremental services that will only be invoiced if the services are required

Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. (formerly CH2M) was previously awarded the schematic design for the Collin County Outer Loop from the Denton/Collin County line east to FM 2478 under CCTRA resolution 2016-3003-02-22.
