Department Action

The attached contract between Thomson Reuters and the Collin County Law Library is for WestlawNext online legal databases access to three (3) subscriptions in the Law Library. The monthly charge for the select modules is $3,972.56 per month. The negotiated contract includes a short bridge (three months) enhancement to our current contract allowing for an additional patron access subscription up to October 1, 2019, at the current contract rate. The three year term has a limited 5% increase in monthly charges after each twelve month period. The three year contract will run congruent with the Collin County budget cycle.

Request Commissioners’ Court consideration and any action regarding approval to award Coop Contract 2019-264, West Proflexfor Law Library to West Publishing Corporation per DIR contract DIR-LGL-CALIR-02 and authorize Purchasing Agent to execute same. sh

Budgeted funds available upon adoption of the FY 2020 Budget for Coop Contract 2019-264, West Proflector Law Library. Contract renewal is for 3 years with a limited 5% increase on the monthly charges per year for year 2 and year 3. Contract term is October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2022. Law Library Fund (1021).
