This is to request Commissioners Court approval of two contract documents related to the medication for STD and Tuberculosis (TB) services. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) provides medication and certain medical supplies to local health departments, including Collin County Health Care Services, using its Inventory Tracking Electronic Asset Management System (ITEAMS) application.

DSHS recently requested that our organization complete a Memorandum of Understanding related to ITEAMS as well as a Security and Privacy Inquiry in order to formalize the arrangement between our agencies and continue providing medication and supplies for these public health services. Regarding the standards listed in the Security and Privacy Inquiry form, our staff partnered with the Collin County Information Technology (IT) department staff members to confirm that we were meeting the state’s expectations outlined in the document. Please see the attachments for your approval and signature.

Request Health Care Foundation approval of the Memorandum of Understanding to set out roles and rresponsibilities for medications obtained through the ITEAMS platform for outpatient treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) or for tuberculosis (TB) services with the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Texas HHS System - Data Use Agreement - Attachment 2 Security and Privacy Inquiry (SPI) and authorize Board President to execute same. sh
