Department Action

The Engineering Department requests that the contract with Jacobs Engineering for services relating to the CCOL westerly (south bound) service road be increased by $775,800.38.

The bulk ($560,688.50) of this increase is for construction phase services, including direct expenses, to provide part time project construction inspection. The balance ($215,111.88) being for additional engineering construction administrative services in support of construction activities.

Jacobs scope of work and a detailed breakdown of their proposed fees is attached.

Commissioners Courts approval of this contract amendment is requested and I will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding this matter.

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of amendment No. 4 to the contract with Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. (formerly CH2M Hill Engineers. Inc.), AGR 2015-107, Preparation of Final Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for the Collin County Outer Loop, segment 3A, Dallas North Tollway to East of SH 289, for construction phase services, including direct expenses, to provide part-time project construction inspection for the amount of $775,800.38 and further authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute same.
