The Collin County Sheriff’s Office respectfully request ratification of the approval to apply for a grant through the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG). The performance period for the 2019 JAG Grant is October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2022, with a deadline of August 23, 2019. We are requesting $15,059 in grant funding with no county match required.

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval to apply for the FY19 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant per the attached documentation. sh

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant for FY 2019 in the amount of $15,059 in federal funds and $6 in County Funds for a total of $15,065 for the purchase of a license plate reader to assist in identifying vehicles suspected to be involved in various criminal activities. Funding includes $14,565 for the purchase of the license plate reader and $500 for the annual data access. Grant only covers $494 of the data access for the first year. County will be responsible for the data access for ongoing years as well as maintaining the equipment.Grant term is October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2022.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application in the amount of $15,065. Funding source is federal funds. Annual fee of $500 for data access will be county funds. Grant period is 10/1/2018 through 9/30/2022.
