Department Action

Commissioners Court approved the purchasing department to solicit for the above mentioned Request for Proposals (RFQ) on July 1, 2019. Submissions were due on July 25, 2019. We received nine (9) submissions. The submissions were provided to project stakeholders. Stakeholders included The City of McKinney, Lowry Crossing, Princeton and TxDOT. Stakeholders were encouraged to provide input; however, formal scoring was limited to Collin County staff.

Based on the initial scoring, the top two qualifiers were then asked subsequent, further explanation questions, and the submissions were re-ranked.

Collin County staff feels confident in the high scoring firm and requests Commissioners Court Authorization to begin negotiations on scope and fee.

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding determination of the most qualified firm, as determined by the selection committee, for RFQ 2019-210, Professional Services, Engineering, Alignment Study, Environmental Analysis and Preparation of a Design Schematic for FM 546 from Airport Dr. in McKinney to CR 400 in Princeton, TX., and approval to begin negotiations. MD

The negotiated scope and fee will be brought to a future Court for consideration and approval.
