The Information Technology department is requesting that Commissioners Court approve acceptance of a Client Deployment Assessment and Workspace One pilot program. The client assessment program will evaluate the processes by which Collin County deploys new computer assets to identify means and methods to reduce deployment cost and effort. Dell EMC Services will provide this assessment, valued at $30,000, at no cost to Collin County. The Workspace One pilot program will assist Collin County in development of FY21 budgetary estimates. Dell EMC Services will provide the Workspace One pilot program, valued at $35,000, at no cost to Collin County.

The ultimate goal of these assessments are to identify potential cost and time savings for provisioning computer resources and allow Network Support Technicians to spend less time preparing systems for deployment.
