We received a letter from a resident regarding the purchase of a 40’ x 155’ section of unused street right-of-way adjacent to a lot he owns in Hollander Addition. This subdivision was platted in 1969 with a forty foot (40’) street right-of-way (Lola Street) along the north side of the addition. This right-of-way was never improved so there is no roadway in place.
The resident has agreed to purchase this section of right-of-way for the value based upon the appraisal. Additionally, the adjacent lot owners on the north side of Lola Street have provided letters stating that they are not interested in acquiring their portion of the right-of-way nor are they opposed to Collin County selling the right-of-way.
Commissioners Court’s authorization to proceed with this sale is requested and we will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding this matter
