Department Action
The Engineering Department requests that the contract with Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating, Inc. be adjusted to reflect changes in materials and quantities utilized for construction.
This change is due to the use of flex base material and a poly moisture barrier in place of lime. This subgrade will provide a better overall pavement section and results in a 100 calendar day reduction in construction time.
The net contract increase is $62.50 and we will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding this matter.
