Department Action

Health Care is requesting the acceptance of the FY2023 Hazards grant contract for one year grant period 7/1/2022-6/30/2023 in the amount of $562,786 of level funding to support the County’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) activities. The County match required for this funding is $56,279 and will be met by using existing staff members’ salaries and fringe. The renewal application for this grant was approved on February 28, 2022, Agenda Item 51692.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Hazards grant in the amount of $562,786 with a required in-kind match of $56,279, and authorize Board President to execute same. The grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

Total required for staff as of 2/18/2022 is $534,299.95. Grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

FY 2023 DSHS Hazards/Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Amendment No. 6 Grant Renewal Acceptance in the amount of $562,786 with a required 10% in-kind match of $56,279 from existing county personnel. The total budget, including projected in-kind match, is $619,065. Grant approval for three (3) existing grant positions (no increase to headcount) funded at 100%, one (1) existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 75% (25% funded by CRI Grant) and three (3) existing county positions (no increase to headcount) partially funded at 40%/50%/75% as well as travel, supplies, and other costs including cell phones. Grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant award in the amount of $562,786 in federal funding with a required match in the amount of $56,279 which can be in-kind. Grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. Grant application had been originally reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached.
