Southeast Mobility Study Amendment No. 2
Submitted For: Clarence Daugherty Submitted By: Clarence Daugherty
Department: Engineering
Request Type: CONSENT Agenda Area: Amendment

Information
Department Action
As part of the work that is ongoing in the Southeast Mobility Study we have directed the consultant, Burns & McDonnell to make changes in the travel demand model to make it more accurate in its forecasting. Those changes were made and many scenarios of options of the thoroughfares, the Outer Loop and other potential thoroughfares and controlled access facilities have been run in the model. These initial runs have revealed other scenarios that may be productive to establishing the best mobility plan for the County. I have directed Burns & McDonnell and their sub-consultant Kimley-Horn to prepare the cost of supplemental work to analyze the additional scenarios that consider to be important to the overall conclusions of the study. Burns & McDonnell has submitted a proposed amendment of $76,740,50 to cover the cost of this additional work.

Requested Action: It is requested that the Commissioners Court approve Amendment No. 2 to the Burns & McDonnell contract for the Southeast Mobility Study for $76,740.50.
