Department Action

This is notification to Commissioners Court of a budget establishment for the CJD Veteran Treatment Court Grant for FY2024 in the amount of $168,992.00. This state funding will support veterans whose crimes correlate to injuries suffered as a result of their military services. The program provides a second chance through a judicially-supervised, team-based approach to ensure participants receive treatment for underlying risk factors that contributed to their crime(s), including substance abuse, medical, and/or behavioral conditions. The grant period is from September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.
