Department Action

The 2018 Bond Program includes an allocation of $11,000,000 to contribute to the TxDOT project to widen US 380 from Airport Drive in McKinney to CR 458 on the east side of Princeton. The project has taken longer to get to the point of TxDOT being ready to receive the contribution than we anticipated, but TxDOT has now sent an agreement to cover this transaction. Funds are available in the appropriate account to make this payment.

Action Requested: It is recommended that the Commissioners Court approve the attached agreement, authorize the County Judge to execute the agreement and authorize payment of $11,000,000.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of an Advanced Funding Agreement for Voluntary Local Government Contributions to Transportation Improvement Projects with No Required Match On-System concerning the widening of US 380 from 4 lanes to 6 lanes from Bridgefarmer to 4th Street. Further, authorize the County Judge to execute same. MD

Collin County's local participation is a fixed contribution of $11,000,000.00.
