Department Action

This is a FYI notification of completing the attached Grant Personnel Form for changing the source of grant funding for one existing personnel at Collin County Health Care Services. The grant funding is provided through the Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

The following Epidemiologist position (Position ID: 300472) included in the Grant Personnel Form has been funded by the IDCU-COVID Expansion (HHS000812700014) grant contract since 10/01/2022. This position will undergo a change of source funding from the IDCU-COVID Expansion grant over to the existing Vaccine Capacity Project 3 (HHS001019500012) grant to become effective on 12/11/2023. This position will be funded by the Vaccine Capacity Project 3 grant until this contract’s end date on 06/30/2024. This change of source funding allows continuing the efficient utilization of existing COVID-19 grant funds to maximize staff employment time with Collin County and public health services provided.

There are no changes to the grants total budget or contract term dates.

PHEP Planner position numbers 00300576 (Michelle Aldaco) and 00300577 (Evan Vance) will undergo a change of source funding from the Vaccine Capacity Project 3 grant to the Public Health Workforce grant to become effective on 02/19/2024.
Moving positions and personnel from one grant to another grant. No change in personnel, grade, or salary at this time.

Budget Department Action

Grant source funding change for existing Epidemiologist position (00300472) IDCU-COVID Expansion Grant to the Vaccine Capacity Project 3 Grant. No additional funding has been awarded with this funding source change. Per Auditor’s Office, insufficient funds to cover the entirety of the extension for all positions funded under Vaccine Capacity Project 3 Grant. Positions to be terminated when grant funds run out. Grant term through June 30, 2024.

Auditor's Office Action

Forecast of Vacc Capicity grant show that funding would be sufficient to cover this position through May 2024. Forecast of Covid PHW show sufficient funding available through June 2024. Please note all salary estimates for the period starting January 2024 are based off an estimated salary increase and not off actual salaries.
