Department Action

Collin County Juvenile Probation Department is seeking to apply for a grant from the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division for Specialty Courts to support the Juvenile Probation Mental Health Court. Grant funding will be used to provide case management, community-based mental health treatment, and support services for youth and families who suffer from mental illness and intellectual disabilities. LifePath Systems is partnering with the department to provide these services. The grant request is for $261,332.00 and requires no county match.

No county match required. The estimated cost of salary and fringe is $197,034.00 for both positions. Grant period is September 1, 2024 - August 31, 2025.

Budget Department Action

Specialty Courts Grant Program FY2025 for the Juvenile Mental Health Court. Grant application for one (1) existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% and one (1) existing county position (no increase to headcount) funded at 100%. Grant funding to include treatment services, training and travel as well as computer equipment and supplies. No county match required. Grade, title and salary subject to HR approval upon grant award. Grant period is September 1, 2024 - August 31, 2025.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant to provide services to Juveniles for a diversion program. Grant period is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. State grant funds in the amount of $261,332 with no county match required.
