The 219th District Court respectfully requests Commissioners Court consideration and approval to apply for a grant through the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division; Specialty Courts.

HR and/or IT Action

Adult Mental Health Court Program Grant application is meant to cover three (3) existing positions and personnel: Program Coordinator (#00300616), Supervision Officer CSCD (#00300614), and Felony Prosecutor (#00300613). Total estimated cost of salaries and fringe for these three (3) positions is $383,810, which matches the attached summary and budget for personnel costs. The grant period is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.

Budget Department Action

Grant application in the amount $491,842 in state funds with no county match required. Grant application for three (3) existing positions: Program Coordinator, Supervision Officer/Case Manager and a Counselor. In addition to personnel, grant will cover contractual and professional services, training and travel, equipment and supplies, and other operating expenses. The grant period is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant for diversion program for adult mental health court. 3 existing personnel, travel, and operating costs. State funds in the amount of $491,842 with no county match required. Grant period is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.
