Department Action

On January 18, 2024, the Collin County Health Care Advisory Board met and reviewed five applications from non-profit organizations requesting funding to provide health care services. Funding of $140,000 for non-profits was approved during the FY 2024 budget process. As directed by the Board of Trustees, the Healthcare Foundation Advisory Board made their funding recommendations. After lengthy discussion and consideration, the Healthcare Foundation Advisory Board unanimously voted to recommend $135,000.00 in funding be divided between the five non-profit agencies based on previous performance and utilization of past funds awarded. The Advisory Board also recommended that the remaining unallocated amount of $5,000 be held in contingency for non-profits if critical funding needs are identified during the fiscal year.
