Department Action

The Engineering Department requests consideration of the proposed Amendment No. 6 to the contract with BGE, Inc. for engineering services relating to the CCOL from FM 2478 to SH 75. A few survey control points were unable to be located by the contractor. These control points are important in establishing the correct right-of-way limits for the project. BGE will have their survey group re-establish the control points along with establishing additional control points at both bridges for additional assurance of their location in relation to the right-of-way.

BGE’s scope of work and detailed breakdown of their proposed fees is attached. The contract total will be increased by $24,326.00. BGE’s new contract amount will be $4,710,798.22. Funds are available in RI18OL002-4021-750300013-809250.

Recommended Action: It is requested that Commissioners Court
-Approve the attached Amendment No. 6 and a budget increase of $24,326.00.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Amendment No. 6 to the contract with BGE, Inc., AGR 2020-049, Collin County Outer Loop Segment 3A Access Road from FM 2478 to US 75, to: 1). Establish Horizontal and Vertical Control Monuments; and 2). CAD work for updated/new Survey Control Data plan sheets. The contract total will be increased by $24,326.00 for a new total contract amount of $4,710,798.22. Further, authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute same. ED
