Department Action

In April of 2014, Commissioners Court approved a payment to TxDOT in the amount of $1,268,705 for our required 10% contribution of the Right of Way and utility relocations, for US 75 from Melissa Rd. to South of FM 455 Interchange.

In 2022 TxDOT did an initial reconciliation of the project and found that a refund was due to the county in the amount of $763,125.73. After that check was received, the engineering staff swept this account and moved these funds, via approved budget adjustment, to other projects needing funding.

Recently, TxDOT determined that one of their internal departments had not completed their final reconciliations prior to the 2022 refund being issued. They have now identified that they over paid the County by $159,516.16.

This Budget adjustment will move funds from another project back to the appropriate account so that we can issue payment to TxDOT and the project can finally be reconciled.
