Department Action

Please see the attached Local Environmental Document for the Collin County Outer Loop (CCOL) Segment 3B & C (SH 289 to US 75).

Engineering staff and their consultant held meetings with affected/adjacent property owners on several occasions as shown starting on page 14 of the environmental document under section 4.3.1 Public Involvement. Legal notices were placed in the local newspapers and announcements were mailed to property owners identified along the project and to local and state government officials of Collin County. Property owners or representatives were given the opportunity to comment on the alignment at these meetings.

The North Central Texas Council of Governmental (NCTCOG) has prepared the local Environmental Document that can be built upon in the future to satisfy National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) requirements.

Recommended Action: It is requested that the Commissioners Court approve the Local Environmental Document for the Collin County Outer Loop (CCOL) Segment 3B&C (SH 289 to US 75).
