We received a written request from a representative with 78/Hooper Ltd., the owner of a 20.85 acre parcel (identified as CCAD parcel ID 2630501), which is located in the southeast corner of SH 78 and Anson Parkway in Wylie, TX. The owner is seeking to buy a 1.27 acre strip (no survey provided), that bisects their parcel, and is owned by Collin County.

78/Hooper Ltd. owns the property on both the east and west side of the 1.27 acres in question.

This right of way for Old State Highway 78/CR 433 was conveyed to the County as indicated by a deed dated 6/27/1984 and filed 10/24/1984, recorded in Volume 2002, page 389, of the deed records of Collin County and attached.

The purchaser understands that they are responsible for all costs associated with this transaction.

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court’s authorization to proceed with the sale of surplus right of way within parcel ID 2630501.
