Department Action

The Engineering Department requests the approval of Amendment No. 12 to the Engineering Services Agreement (ESA) with Birkhoff Hendricks and Carter (BHC). The City of Celina and Town of Prosper would like to add traffic signal design services to BHC’s agreement for the Frontier Parkway project. This ESA Amendment No. 12 will account for adjustments to the design contract to provide additional compensation to BHC for their design and construction administration efforts for a Temporary Wire Span Traffic Signal and Permanent Mast Arm Traffic Signal at the intersection of Worthington/Victory Way and Frontier.

The net change is adding $49,200 to the contract, to cover the additional design and construction administration efforts, revising the total contract amount to $2,653,054.00. This cost will be shared and paid by the City of Celina and Town of Prosper.

Action Requested: It is recommended that Commissioner’s Court
- approve Collin County’s Amendment No. 12 for the Frontier Parkway Engineering Services Agreement with Birkhoff, Hendricks and Carter.
- authorize the Auditor to transfer funds submitted by Celina and Prosper to RI07014-4202-750300013-809250

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Amendment No. 12 to the Engineering Services Agreement with Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, LLP, Frontier Parkway Improvements (AGR 2016-229), for City of Celina and Town of Prosper addition of traffic signal design services and additional compensation to Engineer for their design and construction administration efforts for a Temporary Wire Span Traffic Signal and Permanent Mast Arm Traffic Signal at the intersection of Worthington/Victory Way and Frontier for the amount of $49,200.00, which will be shared and paid by the City of Celina and Town of Prosper, for a new total contract amount of $2,653,054.00. Budget Department Action

Amendment No. 12 to AGR 2016-229, Frontier Parkway Improvements with Birkhoff Hendricks and Carter, LLP for traffic signal design services totaling $49,200 to be split between Celina and Prosper. Celina and Prosper will be sending money for their portions of the amendment and once deposited a Budget Amendment to budget the funds will be needed totaling $49,200. New contract total is $2,653,054. 2007 Bond Fund (4202).

Auditor's Office Action

Funding to be received from City of Celina and the Town of Prosper. Budget Amendment to allocate funding to expense accounts will be entered upon receipt of funding.
