Department Action

This is a request to apply for TxDOT Traffic Safety Program - FY 2023 STEP Grant. The grant period is October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. The grant provides overtime enforcement opportunities for a year-long program with 5 mobilizations, 4 occur with major holidays.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to apply for TxDOT Safety Program - FY 2023 STEP program for $21,997.01 with a County match of $5,657.15. The grant period is October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.

HR and/or IT Action

HR provided hourly rates and OT rates (as of November 2021) with estimates for FICA/Medicare, Retirement, UIB rates for all staff requested. Program Article 3 on Compensation states an understanding that the agreement is budgeted as an estimate only and may overrun 5% or less until an amendment is needed.

Budget Department Action

FY 2023 STEP Comprehensive Grant in the amount of $21,997 in federal funds with a cash match of $5,657.15 coming from the Sheriff’s Office overtime budget. Grant provides law enforcement overtime. Grant period is October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Federal grant funds in the amount of $21,997.01 with a required cash match of $5,657.15.
