Department Action

During the re-construction of the animal wash-down pen in the Myers Park and Event Center Show Barn, it was discovered that the drain line for that facility has outlived its useful life; it is cracked to the point of no longer carrying the necessary flow. The drain line must be replaced for the new wash-down pen to be useful.

The estimated cost to replace the line is $79,808.43. This unexpected expenditure is urgent now since the line must be in place by the time the pen is completed. Funds are available in the Permanent Improvement Contingency fund.

Action Requested: It is requested that the Commissioners Court approve the replacement of the drain line at Myers Park and Event Center according to the attached estimate of cost as well as the attached budget adjustment to provide the funds in the account needed to pay for the replacement.
