Department Action

We received a written request from the owner of 307 S. Georgia Ave. and lots 49D, 49E, 49F, 54A, 54B, 54C, 54D, 54E, 54F of the Westminster Original Donation (CWT), a platted subdivision located on the Southwest corner of Bailey and Georgia near Anna, TX. The total land area is to be determined when the survey is created. The reason for the request is to close the gap between the owned lots to create one large parcel that can be fenced.

The ROW is not needed for any future transportation needs. All surrounding parcels will have road frontage.

I have discussed this situation with Public Works and neither of us see an issue with
The County allowing the requestor to proceed with the purchase of this unimproved ROW.

The purchaser understands that they will be responsible for all costs associated with this transaction.

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court’s authorization to proceed with the sale of surplus right of way adjacent to 307 S. Georgia Avenue within the Westminster Original Donation.
