Department Action

Collin County has sponsored the engineering for FM 2551 from FM 2514 to FM 2551 (Main St.) in Allen. The project is scheduled to let in the 4^th quarter of 2022. Utility relocations are presently underway.

The City of Parker has a city owned water line that needs to be relocated between Curtis Lane and Regal Way along FM 2551. The City is asking for bond funds to be used to help fund 50% of the design of the utility relocation. TxDOT will incorporate the design into the plan set for the widening of FM 2551 from FM 2514 to FM 2551 and the TxDOT contractor will perform the relocation as part of the overall roadway project.

The City estimates the total cost of the project to be $118,570. The county’s portion ($59,285) will come from the completed City of Parker 2007 bond project, #RI070064; Utility Relocation along FM 2514. A budget adjustment will accompany this agenda item.

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court consideration for:

Approval of the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Parker for the design of the relocation of city owned water lines along FM 2551 from Curtis Lane to regal Way; New 2007 Bond Project #RI070074. Collin County participation not to exceed $59,285 and authorize the Judge to sign the ILA.

Budget Adjustment of $59,285 from Bond Project Code RI070064; (4205-750300013-809280) to RI070074 (4205-750300013-808280)

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of an Interlocal Agreement between Collin County and the City of Parker concerning the design of city owned water utility relocations for the FM 2551 roadway widening project; New Bond Project RI070074. Further, authorize the County Judge to execute same. MD

Collin County's participation is a NTE $59,285.00.
