Request approval to add additional funds in the amount of $11,555.84 to Johnson Controls, Juvenile Chiller Rental, Purchase Order 22003755, Sourcewell, Contract #070121-JHN. Issued 7/14/2022.

Due to the situation of the rental chiller was needed past the 28 day timeframe for Purchasing, we didn’t request the additional funds needed within the allowed time. During the time the rental was in place, we were feverously working to tie in the central plant to the building to get the temporary chiller off site. We thought we were going to get it done within the allotted time but exceeded the duration by 7 days. The contractor did send in the quote 8/17/2022 for the extended period and we simply failed to pass it on to Purchasing. All in all, with the help of the contractor, we were able to save the county money by hooking in the central plant chill water system in an expedient manner to the building, to get the rental chiller off site and avoid further elongated rental charges.

Therefore, a change order was not requested and the rental was in place longer than the allowed rental span of 28 days by 7 days. I am requesting a Change Order in the amount of $11,555.84 for the additional 7 days of Juvenile Chiller Rental.
