The juvenile probation department has applied for and been awarded a grant from the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division to help fund the operations of the 417
Juvenile Drug Court, the SOAR Program. The grant award is for $50,000.00 with no county match and will be used to provide substance abuse treatment services for program participants.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept grant for the 417th Juvenile Drug Court, the SOAR Program, from the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division and authorize County Judge to execute same. sh

FY 2021 Specialty Court Program Grant in the amount of $50,000 for the Juvenile SOAR Program. No county match required. Grant will cover inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment services for juvenile SOAR Program participants. Grant period is September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021.

Grant appliction has been reviewed by Grant Review Committee as per attached. Grant award in the amount of $50,000 with no county match. Grant period is September 1, 2020 - August 31, 2021.
