Department Action

The Engineering Department received a written request from the owner of lots B, C, D and E (see attached map) adjacent to Old McKinney Rd. located in Farmersville, TX. The owner is seeking to purchase lot A. The total land area is to be determined when the survey is created. The reason for the request is because the owner owns the surrounding properties and would like to square up their lot by purchasing this tract. The requester’s Letter of Intent to purchase the property is attached.

This land is not needed for any future County needs and all surrounding parcels will maintain road frontage. This parcel has been coordinated with Public Works and the County Administrator and we do not see an issue with the County allowing the requester to proceed with the purchase of this surplus land. The requester, understands that they will be responsible for all costs associated with this transaction.

Action:
It is requested that Commissioners Court authorizes the Engineering Department to proceed with the sale of surplus land adjacent to Old McKinney Rd. in Farmersville, TX.
