Department Action

The Collin County Sheriff's Office would like to request the approval to accept funds through the UASI LE grant program in the amount of $146,342.09. The performance period for the 2021 Grant is from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. This will fund salary and benefits for two Fusion Center Research Analysts for 12 months.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept grant from the Office of the Governor, Homeland Security Grant Program UASI (LE), in the amount of $146,342.09 with no county match, for funding salary and benefits for two Fusion Center Research Analysts for up to 12 months. The grant period is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

HR and/or IT Action

One of two grants for USAI covering 2 research analysts (Phuong Tran and Malcolm McLaughlin) at the SO for 12 months of salary and benefits. Possible increases are built in, (if recommended by market data and approved by Court) over the fiscal year. Amount of the grants combined ($146,342.09 and $64,808.91 for a total of $211,151.00) is sufficient for their salaries and benefits.

Budget Department Action

FY 2021 UASI DFWA LETPA Grant in the amount of $146,342.09 in federal funds with no county match. Funding will be used to partially fund 2 existing Research Analysts’ salary and benefits. Remainder of their salaries is included in another UASI grant. Grant term is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant award for acceptance of the UASI grant in the amount of $146,342.09 in federal funds with no county match required. Grant application had originally been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant period is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.
