Department Action

This is to request Commissioners Court to accept the Bulletproof Vest Partnership grant in the amount of $14,484.06 with a required county match of $14,484.06. This budget is to set up the FY 2024 and FY 2025 portion of the grant in the amount of $14,484.06.The Bulletproof Vest Partnership grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. The award is for 50% reimbursement of qualified bulletproof vests purchased for law enforcement employees. The remaining 50% of the purchased vests is provided by county match funds from the department purchasing the vests. The grant period is April 27, 2023 through September 30, 2025. The grant application was approved on Court Order 2023-488-06-12.
