Department Action

Respectfully requests approval to accept funds through the FY 2024 UASI Election Security Grant, in the amount of $26,351.00. This will fund salary and benefits for a full-time Sheriff’s Office Research Analyst within the Fusion Center who will oversee DVE (Domestic Violent Extremism).

HR and/or IT Action

FY 2024 UASI grant (1 of 3 grants in total) for two (2) existing positions of Research Analyst in grade 557 for existing employees, Malcolm McLaughlin (position # 00300323) and Lindsey DeBord (position # 00300192). At the time of application, it looked like funding from all 3 grants would cover the positions. At this time, funding may be insufficient to cover positions at 100%. Grant period is September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.

Budget Department Action

FY 2024 UASI Election Security Grant in the amount of $26,351 in federal funds. Funds from this grant as well as 2 other UASI Grants (DVE & Regional) will fund 2 existing Research Analysts. Funding was originally estimated to fully fund the two positions, but at award is estimated to cover 95% of the salary and benefits for the term of the grant. Grant term is September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant award of federal funds in the amount of $26,351 with no county match required. Grant period is September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024. Grant application had been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached.
