Attached is the DSHS approved amendment to the COVID-19 Vaccination Capacity Project 1 grant contract.
Collin County Health Care Services wishes to reclassify positions originally budgeted for this grant award. The amendment will reclassify (1) Nurse Practitioner, (1) Medical Assistant, (1) Registered Nurse positions to (4) Health Care Analyst positions. Our team has faced unprecedented difficulty filling these positions and these changes will assist in hiring and completing the grant’s objectives. The total budget for the grant award will be maintained at $1,995,432.00.

HR and/or IT Action

DSHS approved amendment to the COVID-19 Vaccination Capacity Project 1 grant contract. Collin County Health Care Services wishes to reclassify positions originally budgeted for this grant award. The amendment will reclassify (1) Nurse Practitioner, (1) Medical Assistant, (1) Registered Nurse positions to (4) Health Care Analyst positions. Annual salaries for 4 Health Care Analysts as amended are higher in total, but funding to cover 16 months of salary and fringe for these positions is available due to the current positions on the grant not being staffed for part of the grant period.

Budget Department Action

Amendment to the COVID-19 Vaccination Capacity Project 1 Grant to reclassify three (3) awarded positions to four (4) Health Care Analysts (addition to headcount by 1) at 100%. Budget amendment to move grant funds between categories with no change to original grant award funding. (2108)-HealthCare Grant Fund.
