Department Action

Attached is the FY2023 Hazards renewal grant application for one year grant period 7/1/2022-6/30/2023 in the amount of $562,786 of level funding to support the county’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) activities. The County match required for this funding is $56,279 and will be met by using existing staff members’ salaries and fringe.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to apply for Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) grant for $562,786 with a required in-kind match of $56,279. The grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

FY 2023 DSHS Hazards/Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Grant Application in the amount of $562,786 Grant application for three (3) existing grant positions (no increase to headcount) funded at 100%, 1 existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 75% (25% funded by CRI Grant) and three (3) existing county positions (no increase to headcount) partially funded at 40%/50%/75%. Total required for staffing as of 2/18/2022 is $534,299.95. Grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

Budget Department Action

FY 2023 DSHS Hazards/Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Grant Application in the amount of $562,786 with a required 10% in-kind match of $56,279 from existing county personnel. The total budget, including projected in-kind match, is $619,065. Grant application for three (3) existing grant positions (no increase to headcount) funded at 100%, 1 existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 75% (25% funded by CRI Grant) and three (3) existing county positions (no increase to headcount) partially funded at 40%/50%/75% as well as travel, supplies, and other costs including cell phones. Grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
