Attached for approval is the FY 2023 Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) grant application renewal for the one year grant period 7/1/2022-6/30/2023 in the amount of $133,431 of level funding.  The County match required for this funding is $13,343 and will be met by using existing Collin County staff members’ salary and fringe in addition to Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteer hours.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to apply for Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) grant for $133,431 with a required in-kind match of $13,344. The grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

FY 2023 DSHS Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) Grant Application in the amount of $133,431 in federal funds with a necessary match from existing personnel and MRC volunteer hours.  Grant application for one (1) existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% and 1 existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 25% (75% funded by PHEP Grant) as well as travel, supplies, and other program costs. Salaries and fringe for existing personnel at the percentages mentioned is $120,689, as of 2/18/2022. Grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.

The total budget, including projected in-kind match, is $146,775. Grant application for one (1) existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% and 1 existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 25% (75% funded by PHEP Grant) as well as travel, supplies, and other program costs. Grant period is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
