Department Action

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office respectfully requests Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Base Confinement Contract HHS001193700005. This is a COVID-19 Detection and Mitigation in Confinement Facilities contract between the Department of State Health Services and Collin County. The purpose of this contract is to provide continued and additional COVID-19 testing and mitigation support in confinement facilities to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) contract HHS001193700005 for Covid-19 testing and mitigation for $1,138,031 with no County match required and authorize County Judge to execute same. gz

HR and/or IT Action

Budget Department Action

HHSC Base Confinement Grant in the amount of $1,138,031 in federal funds with no county match for Covid 19 testing and mitigation support in confinement facilities. Personnel funds to be moved to contractual to pay for 2 additional Registered Nurses for the term of the grant through the county inmate healthcare provider. Remainder of funds to be used for testing and personal protective equipment in the operations. Grant term is from execution through July 31, 2024.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant to provide continued and additional Covid 19 testing and mitigation support in confinement facilities. Grant period is upon execution through July 31, 2024. Federal grant funds in the amount of $1,138,031 with no county match required. There are no personnel, only contractual healthcare services. Budget amendment will be completed upon contract execution to move the budget from personnel to contractual.
